Who I Work With

I provide trauma-informed therapy to children, teens, adults, and families navigating a wide range of challenges. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where each client feels safe and empowered in their healing process.

  • Living room with a gray armchair, a multicolored braided rug, a white dining table with four chairs, a bookshelf filled with books and games, and a large window with red curtains.

    Children

When working with young children, I use Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), a gentle and developmentally appropriate approach that allows children to express themselves, build emotional awareness, and work through challenges using the natural language of play. I also help children reduce symptoms of OCD and anxiety by using a combination of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

  • Therapy session room with large window overlooking a river, furnished with two green armchairs with velvet pillows, a round wooden table, and a side table with a white lamp. There are two colorful abstract paintings on a blue wall.

    Teens & Individual Adults

My work with teens and adults is tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. Drawing from a range of evidence-based modalities—including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Motivational Interviewing—I integrate interventions that best support each client’s growth. Whether you're navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, or the impact of trauma, we'll work together to help you develop insight, emotional regulation, and practical skills for change.

  • Therapy session room with a white sectional sofa, pink patterned armchair and accent pillows, a round metallic coffee table with decorative items, a small side table, a lamp, and wall art on a blue wall.

    Couples & Families

I help couples and families strengthen their relationships, improve communication, and navigate challenges with greater understanding and connection. My approach blends Family Systems Therapy with Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method techniques, supporting the development of secure, respectful, and resilient relationships.

I provide therapy to individuals and couples in person at Lindsey Hoskins & Associates in Sterling, VA, and virtually to clients across Virginia. If you’re interested in working together—or connecting for a professional referral—I’d love to hear from you.
