Hi, I’m Abbie
My experiences of motherhood and family life shape how I approach therapy. I work with clients across all ages and stages of life who are navigating complex family dynamics, life transitions, neurodivergence—including ADHD, OCD, and Autism—as well as anxiety, chronic stress, and complex trauma. I understand how deeply our relationships, responsibilities, and environments affect how we feel — and how hard it can be to hold everything together.
I work with individuals, couples, and families from diverse backgrounds, offering care that is relational, thoughtful, and nonjudgmental. My approach is collaborative and flexible, shaped by your goals and what feels most supportive for you. I pay close attention to how daily life, stress, and environment impact well-being, and we work together to make things feel more manageable.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent many years working in nonprofit marketing and corporate roles. These experiences help me stay organized and responsive to client care, and they deepen my appreciation for resilience, teamwork, and the realities that clients face outside the therapy room.
I earned my undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and Master of Social Work from George Mason University with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Families. While at GMU I participated in the CAP-BH fellowship, an intensive program focused training social workers in trauma-informed, community-based care. During my clinical training, I worked at outpatient and intensive outpatient levels of care, where I provided therapy for a range of client concerns as well as specialized assessment and intervention for the treatment of substance use disorders.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply not like yourself, you don’t have to sort it all out before reaching out. I welcome the opportunity to learn more about your goals for therapy and to work together to find an approach that feels right for you.
